This house, which was fully restored in October 2005 and is available for guided tours, is the only Prairie Style house Wright built in all of Ohio. If you happen to be in downtown Springfield on a Saturday during the summer, be sure to swing by the Farmer's Market nestled between the Heritage Center and Elderly United and check out all the local musicians and the wares, which include local produce, baked goods and jams, flowers, handcrafts, and more. Outdoorsy types will love Buck Creek State Park; C.J. Brown Dam and Reservoir; the Ohio Caverns; and Snyder Park, home of the Madonna of the Trail Monument. The area is also a great place to visit if you are a cyclist: Among the available bike trails are the Buck Creek Scenic Trail, Little Miami Scenic Trail, and the Simon Kenton Trail. Meanwhile, the slightly more cultured visitors can take off to Brandeberry Winery and enjoy wine, food, live music, and other fun events. Finally, be sure to also visit Springfield's South Fountain Avenue Historic District, which was chosen by This Old House as one of their 2011 Best Old House Neighborhoods in the Midwest category. To get here from Springfield, just get on OH-4 W/W Main St/W National Rd and continue to follow OH-4 W for 5.8 miles. Take the Interstate 70 W exit, then merge onto I-70 W and drive 12.5 miles. Take exit 33 for I-75 toward Dayton/Toledo, keep right at the fork and merge onto I-75 N, then drive 1.7 miles.
